In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine cult.

The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update
